History of the Arb Show

There will, of course, be no Arb Show in 2020, the event’s 22nd instalment having fallen victim to COVID-19 in mid-March – the cancellation inevitable as the Government clamped down on large gatherings, and the decision to abandon correct.
Still though, there was considerable hand-wringing at the Arboricultural Association, where Simon, the Senior Technical Officer, and his team debated the matter over and again, considering contingencies and outlining options before at last accepting defeat and agreeing to pull the plug.

2020 Arboricultural Association Conference Postponed

“This was an extremely difficult decision for us to make and is hugely disappointing for everyone. It is impossible to predict what the national situation will look like in the first week of September, but our feeling is that even if restrictions have been fully or partially lifted by then, it will still be extremely difficult to go ahead with this event in its ordinary format. We are still working on the details, but our intention is for the Trees and Society theme and all of the fantastic speakers which we have already confirmed to be transferred to Conference 2021.”

TCI EXPO 2020 Will Not be Held this Year

With the direction and support of our board of directors, TCIA has made the difficult decision to not hold TCI EXPO 2020. TCI EXPO has been the world’s largest tree care show and conference for the past 30 years. As the producer of this great show, the Tree Care Industry Association takes our responsibility very seriously to be the leader in safety and doing what is right for our attendees, and the industry at large.
